Mazio is a fantastic free tool to take screenshots of your desktop, and then modify the captures. Mazio comes ready to take screenshots of a zone of the screen or a window. It allows a simple system of drag and drop. With this program you can also draw shapes (straight lines, rectangles, arrows) and text.

It includes a zoom and the possibility to pixelate certain parts of the image you want to keep private. It also allows you to edit the images, which you can resize. There are also transparency and do/undo options. A very useful program.
